i really want the cute elephant but it shows to only be at the Draenei orphanage can a human do the quest there or do you have to be draenei?

Does anyone know what lvl you need to start this quest? Was wondering if i got a group togehter with a lock to summon me, whether i could get my lvl 11 hunter through the various checkpoints? lol

You must have a minimum level of 60 to start the quest chain for these Children's Week pets.

Anyone know if doing this quest will cause the quests for the pets in Azeroth cities to be unavailable? Like you have to choose one quest or the other?

When you complet the quest in outland you can still comple the quest in stormwind and orgrimmar. or at least i could xP so i think you still can

You can complete all of the quests the day you get them. Some members of my guild had to logout and login to get their bugged orphan to complete the series. I would not wait until the end of Children's Week, or you may miss out completely.

Confirmed it can be done in 1 day and have your pet walking with you as soon as you complete the quest.
Did the SW set on my NE Druid level 42, got me a Speedy Tortoise, which looks very funny Running at speed in travel form following you. ;)

Aeris Landing, Nagrand, Take Orphan to see Jheel at (31,57), Summon Orphan, talk to Jheel. Get 7g and change.

Ring of Observance, Terokkar Forest, (39,64). Summon the Orphan, she will then summon a gnome from the dungeon who

thanks her and mutters somthing about giving up alchemy. Get 7g 56s.

The Dark Portal, Hellfire Peninsula, (88,50) Top of the steps. Summon the Orphan, collect 7g and change.

Then get 2 additional quests from the Orphan:

The Seat of the Naru and Time to Visit the Caverns.

The Seat of the Naru is at the bottom of the exodar, down the ramp, I stood at (57,40) and summoned the Orphan, then

spoke to O'ros (the Crystal) to get a complete. 3g 75s. Then got followup quest from O'ros, "Call of the FarSeer"

Farseer Nobundo https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/npc=17204 (30,30) in the Exodar. Take the orphan there, she will speak to

Farseer and summon some elementals, then you can speak with Farseer to complete the quest, 3g 75s.

Go to Gadgetzan (Tanaris). Caverns of Time Entrance is at 63, 57. Summon the orphan in front of the big dragon that is sleeping (Zaladormu) Wait for the dialog to finish then go get the Toy Dragon at Alurmi,(63,57) there in the caverns of time. Give it to the orphan, get the followup quest, shed a tear, and take the Orphan back to The Orphanage in Shat for the final reward(s).

This is one of the more fun quests to do in WoW and the reward is just awesome. Now I have Willy and Peanut last year, so next year Egbert will be a member of my small pet family :)

The real reward came actually the next day when I logged on. A mail from the little girl on how much she enjoyed our time. Can't wait to see her again (I wish I could adopt her)

If this quest went live with patch 2.1.0 or not is still up for debate. To get one of these incredibly cool pets you have to wait for childrens weekwhich happens sometime in May. Then go to Shatterath City down to the lower city and speak with Orphan Matron Mercy (Loc 75,77 Lower City). She will give you an Orpahn whistle. It will either summon you a young Blood Elf (Horde) or young Draenei (Alliance) they will give you three quests. That take you all over Outlands. The locations are Sporregar in Zangermarsh, Thone of Elements in Nagrand, and the Dark Portal in Hellfire Peninsula. You take the orphan to each of these locations and wait (and since this is the first time, the game was having some glitching issues, so I mean you will WAIT) eventually the question mark will go yellow and you can complete the quest. The first two (Sporregar and Throne of Elements) have NPCs you can talk to, the Dark Portal, you have to stand at the top of the Stairs of Destiny, and wait for the orphan to acknowledge they have "seen" the portal.

After you complete all these the child will give you two more quests. The first takes you to Silvermoon City (for Alliance, I dunno. My high level main is Horde) to have her get zapped by the huge Naaru in the Farstrider's Square, that all the paladin trainers stand around. The second she wants to go see the big dragon boss in the Caverns of time. There is a fun little in game Cinematic (and you will wish it happened all the running this little kid makes you do) You then buy a toy dragon from the Keepers of time Quartermaster (1g) and that allows you to complete the quest. Go back to Shatterath City, and collect your pet. That simple.

As of 1:01am 5.23.07 I dont know if there is a minimun level restriction to this. I was level 64 when starting and completeing it. I dont know what the level cap is. If someone could follow up, I know I would appreciate it. I want one of those Baby Elekks for my Draenei Hunter (lvl 37 currently)

Willy is the best thing that ever happened to me and I don't care what others think. He is beautiful in his own way even though sometimes, when he misbehaves, I have to spank little Willy..... So cute, yet so hideous... Best quest reward ever.

EVER!

(The easy 50k+ exp was just a bonus)

Completed the quest 5/22, 10:54 EST.

Chose the extremely cute Elekk of course! It took too long to attempt to get my Dranei mount (as a human), but this pet takes the cake!
