Felblood Initiates (70+) spawn at the Throne of Kil'jaeden around the Suspended Terrorguards. Kill nearby Wrath Heralds for the Demon Blood needed to "Use" the Fel Siphon on the Initiates

Start your attack with a damage spell or dot and then "use" the siphon - this stuns them for several seconds, and they then become non-elite Emaciated Felbloods.

Felblood Initiate: these guys spawn around the suspended terrorguards laid out around the Throne. They have a relatively slow respawn especially with everyone camping for the quest.

I added this in here because at the time there were so many people doing the quest that I couldn't find them at all until I asked and carefully watched .

If you've got an instant-cast spell handy, sit next to the suspended felguard and mash the tab key. You might think that's obvious, but I was the only one doing it with about ten people around each spawn point.

It is almost impossible to complete this quest on a live server. Slow spawn rate and only 4 spawn at a time. That coupled with the hundreds of others attempting the same thing.

You won't be able to stock up on the Demon Blood since when you turn it in they also get taken upon completion.

Rogues can sap the Felblood Initiates and then start the Fel Siphon. It will not break the Sap. Just don't Vanish to drop combat or they may bug out and not transform. Wait a few seconds and they will transform into the Emaciated Felbloods and then kill them to easily complete the quest.

Quest giver, Magistrix Seyla, is at 58.2, 17.6 in Hellfire Peninsula. When you want to fly back another day, after you used the portal the first time, for this daily quest and also the companion quest - Blast the Gateway.

For those who didn't understand this quest like me, here's how to do it:

1. Kill Wrath Heralds to get Demonic Blood (100% drop) until you get 4 of the item.

2. Use the Fel Siphon quest item you got in your backpack on the Felblood Initiates around the demonic structures with a Suspended Terrorguard. They are elite so be careful. Channel for 5 seconds and they will get stunned. A couple seconds later they transform into Emaciated Felbloods (Wretched) that you have to kill.

Easy quest. Upon channelling - DO NOT MOVE or you will cancel the spell; oddly enough - the hits from the Initiates won't break the spell, even if it will break the channelling - so don't worry, it will work. Otherwise you'll lose a reagent and have to kill more demons.

In addition to the cash reward, this quest also serves the purpose of boosting your reputation with whichever faction you have sworn your allegiance, Aldor or Scryer.

The boost is 125 Reputation, or 137.5 for Humans.

Assuming this is your only method of gaining Aldor or Scryer Reputation, it will take you...

24 days to go from 0/3000 Neutral to 0/6000 Friendly
48 days to go from 0/6000 Friendly to 0/12000 Honored
96 days to go from 0/12000 Honored to 0/21000 Revered
168 days to go from 0/21000 Revered to 0/1000 Exalted

For a grand total of 336 days.

However, if you are a Human, it will take...

22 days to go from 0/3000 Neutral to 25/6000 Friendly
44 days to go from 25/6000 Friendly to 75/12000 Honored
87 days to go from 75/12000 Honored to 37.5/21000 Revered
153 days to go from 37.5/21000 Revered to 75/1000 Exalted

For a grand total of 306 days. Diplomacy saving you 30 days, or about a month.

Anyone seem to notice how when you Siphon the female initiates.... they turn into male wretcheds? I know Blizz probably never made a female wretched model, but... man, it must suck to have been a female blood elf your whole life and then *poof* you're turned into a guy by some random adventurer, shortly before dying.

I've also had one of them spawn right into me while I was channeling another one, the elites dont hit very hard though (550-700 on leather)

Note: there is a bug with the way that the quest item works. You have to select a Felbood Initiate to start channeling. However, the actual weakening spell effect doesn't go off until the end of the channel ON THE TARGET YOU HAVE AT IT'S COMPLETION.
This means that if you, as I have, try to pull multiple ones at once by starting a cast, then selecting a different initiate, the second initiate is stunned then turns. The elite you just cast on is still elite, and still beating your face in. There's now just a non-elite still channeling into the fel guard.

Further, if you target a non-Felblood Initiate, the blood charge is completely wasted, AND you have an elite beating your face in.

(The new ooze quest near the crashed zeppelin in Dustwallow Marsh has the same mechanic. There it's actually useful as you can 'destroy' oozes much farther away than you should be able to)

Interesting fact: The Fel Siphon effect consumes Misdirection charges. Threat seems to be misdirected accurately, for what little the Siphon actually causes.

To find the magistrix you use the captured scroll of legion at the big green SQUARE portal surrounded by demons. To find the portal - go like you are going to the 5 man dungeon but instead of going up the hill go to your right as you pass the round building on your right just before you start going up. It should be obvious from there.

Once you are thru the portal you can get two daily quests. To do 'blood for blood' you kill the large ones with wings and loot thier blood. Then look for a 'siphon' in your inventory and use it targetting one of the elite people. They will become non-elite and you can kill them.

The other quest has you killing fire elementals while your 'fire spark' pet is out. Look for a cinder type thing to call your pet. Then charge your pet by killing or being near someone killing a fire elemental. It takes 8 charges for your pet to become unstable (he will become large). Then take him to the portal you cam in at and stand there a few seconds until you get a quest complete.

It took me 2 Demonic Bloods using the Fel Siphon to knock down each Felblood Initiate from elite to normal. You will need 8 Dem Bloods total to complete quest.

Just a few things to be careful about:

Respawns are a big deal here, including some phantom adds, so be prepared to get surprised a lot.

If you have to break off a fight with one of the elites, they will chase you to Fiji and beyond, so be prepared for the Boston Marathon.

If you are in a fight with a "weakened" elite and can't kill him (maybe because 200 respawns suddenly showed up...), you lose the blood sample and then have to go kill another several pluguglies (Wrath Heralds)...

This quest is trash in retail right now. I am not getting credit for the kills. It seems this quest has always been bugged and it's never been fixed.
