The seventeenth official Hearthstone Ranked Play Season is now live—and we’re unveiling a new card back you can add to your collection!
Saddle up, ready your lance, and meet your foes on the Ranked Play Ladder with the Tournament Grounds card back! You can only earn this card back by playing Hearthstone during the month of August.
These card backs replace the art decorating the reverse side of your cards and are a great way to show off your Hearthstone accomplishments. Add the Tournament Grounds card back to your collection by hitting Rank 20 in Ranked Play mode. You’ll receive the Tournament Grounds card back at the end of August’s Ranked Play Season.
Don’t forget—the further you move up the Ranked Play ladder, the more bonus stars you’ll receive next season. In Ranked Play, you’ll receive bonus stars based on your performance from the previous season —one bonus star per rank you attained. Please note that even if bonus stars from the previous season get you directly to Rank 20 or above, you still have to log in at least once each Ranked Season to qualify for the card back reward.
The top 100 Legend players for the August Ranked Play season will also accrue points towards qualifying for the Hearthstone World Championship. For more information on how you can become the next Hearthstone World Champion, please visit our Hearthstone World Championship blog here.

If you already own a Samsung S6 series phone, or you’re thinking about adding one to your collection, listen up! Starting July 16, players around the world who play Hearthstone® on one of the new Samsung S6 series phones will receive three free Classic card packs and a shiny Galaxy Gifts card back.
Players who want to pick up their Galaxy Gifts rewards just need to download the mobile version of Hearthstone to their devices from Galaxy Apps or Google Play™ and enjoy the game.
Already got a Samsung S6? If you’ve already downloaded Hearthstone, completed the tutorial, and created a Hearthstone account, then your rewards should automatically arrive after you log in for the first time after the promotion starts. If you’ve never played Hearthstone before, then you’ll receive your Galaxy Gifts card back and free card packs after you complete the tutorial and create a Hearthstone account using your S6.
There are no regional restrictions, so you can get your Galaxy Gifts rewards anywhere, but they can only be redeemed once per Battle.net account!
The Inn is the kind of place that will always welcome anyone and everyone who’s willing to play fair and have fun, so we get all sorts here. Still. . . Some crowds leave a real impression!
Today was somethin’ else! The air was filled with the happy hubbub of folks dueling away and enjoying one another’s company, no matter where they hailed from; nothing too out of the ordinary. The funny thing was, most of ‘em were wearing the shiniest armor you ever saw—including the magic-using types! I even saw murlocs all geared up in plate, clankin’ about like wee fishy-smellin’ mechs. I’ll never forget the young Dwarven lass leadin’ a majestic unicorn around the common room! That seemed to make the other patrons nervous, since getting impaled is usually inconvenient, but they had nothin’ to worry about.
Soon enough, everyone finished their brews (even the unicorn!), wrapped up their Hearthstone games, and got back to whatever journey they were on. It was an inspiring sight, and I admit that I was sorry to see ‘em go.
I have to wonder where they were all headed. Of course, the Inn has a knack for putting itself right where the excitement is, so I reckon I’ll be findin’ out soon enough!
