one one the three rewards to choose from as a reward for the warlock class quest obtained at level 50. A good staff that will last for a decent amount of time.

This is an amazing staff! The stats are perfect for a lock and seeing how it's only obtained through a warlock quest, other people are envious of this bad boy. It has one of the most intimidating skins for a weapon, and after you add a +30 Spell Damage enchant to this staff it becomes even more formidable. If that isn't enough, the enchant also gives it a Purple Glow.
Pimped out with my Imp out.

Abyss Shard
www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=8422
One of your other two options is above. As a lock, I say this is the BEST option you can choose. Why? This staff may be wonderful for a moment. But- the abyss Shard will last forever. Whenever you need your VW, level 60, 65,70? Use the Abyss Shard and it doesn't cost you a shard. I can lay odds this staff will not be in your hands past 60... maybe not past 55?

The soul harvester is a reward from a warlock quest givin by Impsy in felwood. The quest Trolls of a Feather gives this Reward. The trolls of a feather quest can be compelted in the isntance "The Temple of Atal'Hakkar" better known as ST (Sunken Temple). Yes you could get the Abyss Shard but its easier to get a new wepaon with some stats other than just a free voidwalker because shards arent hard to achieve. In my opinion, get the Soul Harvester. You should get it for a few reason. Reson 1: Its a cool looking Scythe. Reson 2 the stats are quite good (+16 Stamina
Equip: Improves your chance to hit with spells by 1%.
Equip: Increases damage done by Shadow spells and effects by up to 24. ) And reason 3 its the only weapon you will need until you hit 60. And once you get 60 you should head for a Zul'Gurub weapon such as Fang of Venoxis and the Onyxia off-hand Etched Cornerstone Gimoire

I'm so glad i didn't choose this reward when i did this quest. One of the first quests in outland i got a stave that is as good as this. Yes it is a cool looking staff but I'm so glad i went with the shard instead, you'll never get anything else like it in the game.

Warlocks have a lot of options as far as staff's go around the levels of 45-60.
In my arrogant opinion, this one takes the prize as being the best a Demonologist Warlock could have.
But here are some links for the other ones I believe come close in order from second to last:

As a level 70 warlock I still use my Abyss Shard. It makes running lowbie dungeons a breeze.

my advice is to try get a drakestone of shadow wraith from Sunken temple and pair it off with a main hand weapon with + spell dam , thou this combination is hard to get you end up with about 20-30+ more shadow damage depending on the main hand weapon. by doing this u don;t need the staff. eg
https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=7714
, or even better try get a dire nail of shadow wraith.
https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=10828
the robe is relpaced by either by T 0.5 or if u have BC replaced by Whispering Tunic
https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=29926
.
the shard however can be useful at any stage in the game because you can only get it once, i has uses but it is used in rare events of warlocks not having soul shards and by lvl 70 you really done use the Vw anymore being replaced by the Felguard or the Imp.
i choose the robe myself because i got the drakestone/main hand weapon combination. All of these items become useless at some stage so just choose one that looks cool or one that gives the most upgrade

If I recall correctly, this is the only Scythe that a Warlock can use.
Seeing as it fits the look perfectly, I would much rather get this, than waste yet another spot in my bags for a trinket that gives you one shard(pretty much).
Even if this is outdated soon, it just looks soo cool its too hard to pass up.
I'm definitely going to choose this when I hit 52.

Before 2.3 I would have agreed that this was the best choice. I know it looks cool, but with the improvements from 2.3 it's easy to find a replacement weapon with stats nearly as good, and with the leveling changes you won't be using this long anyway. Head to ZF and pick up
https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=18082
. You won't notice a difference in performance.
As soon as you hit Hellfire, this is either going to be sharded, vendored, or tossed in the bank with the rest of the crap you never use. The trinket, on the other hand, I promise you will find uses for at 70. You won't use it all the time, obviously. Its use is limited and situational, but it HAS a use. And if you take it, again, I promise, you will still use it at 70. Unless you plan to stand around in Ironforge, proudly displaying your level 50 blue weapon for passers-by to marvel at, I doubt you'll find much use for this guy after you hit Hellfire.
Doedekjin's comment makes good points, but only looks at one scenario, failing to take into account times when you are in zones without mobs you can get shards from. And that does happen from time to time. The trinket is the ONLY way IN THE ENTIRE GAME for you to get shards in situations where you would otherwise be unable to--the trinket actually adds utility, making you capable of something you'd otherwise be unable to do as a warlock. If you want to throw that ability away so that for a few fleeting levels you can look a little more evil, then that's your call.

I have this with the Fiery Weapon enchant still as a 57lock
which may sound silly as it doesn't add much damage
but ever since getting this weapon I feel like royalty!
The other day I had 2 higher level hordes salute me and
then they helped me kill some guys to finish a quest!
So if you like to have fun and if you enjoy having everyone
including horde wave bow kneel and salute you then get this
weapon add some flames for more coolness and never sell it
srry but if you don't have a soul bag filled with shards as a 50+ lock
and if you're not near enemies which give shards and die with an Imp
then you shouldn't bother playing a lock anymore because you
still don't grasp the warlock yet, so move on to another character, right> lol

seriously.
a rare rare wand. lol and a boss you have to spend alot of gold to summon/ waste alot of time to summon/ find a pre TBC H/C packrat.
For a caster that's lvl'd to 58 before. I can tell you. I'd take the spell hit. lol nothing like landing a spell on a orange/red difficulty mob. when you gotta grind your self of out the old end game.
but the shard is also awesome for when your doing stuff in azoroth. ect.

As said more than enough times the Shard IS unique, BUT I honestly cannot find any good uses for it in endgame.
PvE raiding
1. If you are smart enought to get into a guild that actually raids 25-mans then you would know that wasting a dps trinket spot with that kinda crap is not wise. To use it you'd had to wear it all the time because you cannot change trinkets in combat
2. Using a VW in general at raids is very idiotic. It cant even hold aggro from healers and sacrificing it gives you a crappy buff
3. Who comes to raids whitout enough shards and most of all who the feck runs out of shards while raiding when there are nothing but mobs in the instance.
PvE Grinding
1. First of all, who the hell uses a VW?! If you are a demonology warlock you can use fellguard to keep aggro, Then again if you are an affliciton 'lock voidwalker won't be able to keep aggro and in case of destruction you will either sacrifice imp or if you dont have DS (demonic Sacrifice) Your VW won't be able to keep aggro from you.
2. Same as in PvE Grinding you shouldnt rally run out of shards nor mana and better trinkets are waaay easy to get to waste a spot on this.
PvP
1. The only function of VW in PvP is sacrifice which sounds pretty good, but then again wasting a perfectly good trinket spot for this is idiotic atleast.

This weapon comes originally from Diablo II, lord of destruction. In Diablo it's a polearm called Soul Harvest, and it looks like a scythe.
The stats (not that it's really important to know, unless you've never seen it before, play diablo II LOD and want this thing):
Unique Polearm
Two-Hand Damage: 12-15 To 30-38
Required Level: 19
Required Strength: 41
Required Dexterity: 41
Durability: 65
Base Weapon Speed: slow
+50-90% Enhanced Damage
30% chance of Open Wounds
10% Mana Stolen Per Hit
+45 To Attack Rating
+5 To Energy
All Resistances +20
Although the diablo scythe doesn't come anywhere near the wow scythe, I can't say it's coincidence that this weapon, with this name, with this look, appears in WoW. After all, Blizzard made Diablo too.

Another way of thinking about this debate is, both are like collectibles - things that are unique but that you'll never really use.
The Soul Harvestor is unique for its skin/looks/design, but by level 56/57 grossly outclassed by Outlands greens that show up on the AH.
The Abyss Shard is unique in that it's the only trinket in the game that summons a VW, or any minion for that matter, without a shard. It's not just another generic Spell Power or Crit trinket, it's the only one in the game like it.
Hunters also have similar choice with their lvl 50 quest, between the
Devilsaur Tooth
and
Devilsaur Eye
. The Tooth is the only trinket in the game that does what it does, the Eye is quickly replaced in Outlands. Most hunters choose the Tooth since the alternate choices don't even have a unique look going for them.
However with a 30m cooldown, the Abyss Shard will only save you once on a lowbie instance if you run out of shards, and if your pet dies again after that you're SoL.
As for using it every 30m to slowly fill your shard bag, well you're gonna need some kind of cooldown alarm to call your attention to when it's ready again. Easier for anyone but the most Type-A players just go shard-farm some green mobs instead.
So basically, just think of them as useless or only marginally-useful WoW collectibles, and pick the one you want to put on your trophy shelf and show visitors.

I chose the staff despite the fact that it will be replaced in a few levels. The reason? The skin. Sure the trinket may prove useful for the rest of the game, but I keep myself stocked up on shards and hardly use my VW anymore.
So the choice for me was to upgrade my weapon now with something that may well be replace soon, but will always look fantastic when playing around, or the trinket that may prove useful, one day. Maybe.

A lot of people are entitled to their views and I wont bash any of them, so return the courtesy and be intelligent here ... with that said ...
This staff comes with 16 stamina which is 3 more the the Rod of Ogre Magi, and 4 more dmg *only to shadow school and thats our primary*. its lacking in int however. My view and that shared by many locks running MC and BWL is that Staff of Dominance is your first epic dream weapon, but until that day this staff is an END GAME weapon without much doubt.
Its easily attained to start, next its %hit is worth more then crit in any raiding scenario ... if you are ranged DPS you are not looking for 2k crits in MC, you just want nice consistent hits and never seeing a resist will allow for that. Most locks tend to focus on those huge crits which in ZG can wipe your whole raid quickly. Looking at the staff in that aspect the +22 int enchant is not a bad idea. If you have a good amount of guild support or an enchanter in guild with Revered in Thorium Brotherhood that is. I am not saying blow 200g on the enchant, that would be stupid, but if you can get a free combine then its worth every penny invested in mats, just buy Green's 55+ *2-3g each* and de them for ur mats its tooooo easy, many of the greens DE for 2-3 GEE's ... I just hit 50 and recieved this staff and already have GEEx8 of 12 and all the Dust, just need to get 15 shards now, should have 22int in no time at all. This plan may not work for everybody, but for me I am lookin at 22int for about 40-50g which is a steal on any server.
Also keep in mind that Rod of the Ogre Magi and SoD are NEVER promised to you like this staff, so if you save up early and work at it, by 52-53 you can have a staff that will carry you through MC problem free.

I rarely use it for farming shards, since I try not to run out period. I think the real beauty of it is the elimination of mana cost - especially when combined with Fel Domination and Master Summoner.
For instance, saccing a voidwalker for a shield, then instantly resummoning him. Now you have a full health voidwalker, a 30 second damage absorbing shield, and no dent to your mana. A perfect time for using something like hellfire, with the luxory of being able to sacc your VW a second time.

when your in instances ya the trinket would be nice, but you'll need something with a lot of resitance, it'll be easy to get a ss especially in instances since us locks just stand back, and let the tanks attack while we spell the attacker, so it's not hard, especially in instances to get an ss, and the trinket that is the last place you should use it -_- the robe is also useless, i have a 74 armor robe....not much of a difference and anyways it will be overrun by better robes as you get to higher levels. the soul harvester is the best, though the attack and additionals aren't to good, it is definitly worth the look, especially on the nemesis set. so soul harvester should be the choice, unless your way to lazy to get some mana or ss.....which you shouldn't!
NOT TO MENTION THE TRINKET DOES HAVE A COOLDOWN so you just can't keep sacrificing and then summoning....you'll have to wait 30 minutes to do that again, so IT IS WORTHLESS ESPECIALLY IN INSTANCES!

The trinket
What a useless piece of crap...
Oh noes! It costs me a soulshard to summon a big, ugly, party/raid/pvp useless Voidwalker! And more than 1k mana!
But Allelujah! This trinket will allow me to not go through a hell of a trouble to farm on more soulshard, every 30 minutes! Hell, I even think I'll summon a VW every 30 minutes, just for fun! I could even waste 3 talent points in Master Summoning and Fel Domination so I can sacrifice my VW two times in a row, giving me a whopping advantage in nothing!
I mean come on... life 3-4 times, and you have your mana back. Just make sure your brain reminds you of using Drain Soul before you victim dies.
Now the robe or the staff ?
That, as said upper, depends on your spec. If you're destro, you could use both Fire and Shadow +damage from the robe...
Affliction, you need the staff for the Shadow Damage...
But you could take the robe or the staff for any of 'em. Also depends if you think you'll be raiding like mad and get anything better for any of them... If so, take the staff. There's alot more chance for you to get a nicer robe than a nicer staff, IMHO.
Good luck even doing that quest, if you're wondering what the hell is that purple glow.

So I'm just starting this quest, and already trying to figure out which reward to pick, like many.
I already have:
Zum`Rah's Vexing Cane
+10sta
+10int
+21 spell damage
Granted, Soul Harvester looks much cooler.. but as far as stats go I'd be sacrificing 10int for 6sta and 3 shadow damage. I mean, it's not even spell damage, like Zum`Rah's. I think it's cool that it's shadow, of course, I love anything RP about warlocks. Everyone says to replace Zum`rah with the SH because stamina is so important.. I know, I have tons of stamina, it just doesn't seem smart considering the loss in int/spelldmg. Any opinions?

Personally i was having a hard time a while back choosing which reward to pick.
I picked the soul harvester and am very happy with my choice. Here's why:
Robes of Servitude - Sure these robes are nice, but it was well worth the time and effort for me to go and farm the mats for Robe of the Void. Those robes held me off until I got Felheart robes, and I still equip them when I want to do max damage. Otherwise, you can generally find better robes (try for Robe of Winter Night if you can't get Robe of the Void).
Abyss Shard - Absolutely not worth it unless you are demo spec or something, but even in that case I don't think that a free VW summon will help that much mainly because it is a 10 second cast. Plus, the Abyss Shard is just taking up a trinket slot that should be saved for Royal Seal of Eldre'Thalas or Eye of the Beast for more reliable damage (unless of course you swap trinkets which you can't do in combat). Even so, in endgame situations saving yourself a soul shard and a minimal amount of mana really does no good since both are so easily regained. If your raid is decent you shouldn't need a damage shield, you should be being healed.
Soul Harvester - Beautiful weapon, imho the right choice. Sure Zum'rah's Vexing Cane is similar, but this has more damage, more stamina (very important to a lock), and especially has that 1% chance to hit which can make a huge difference on big elite mobs and bosses in MC and BWL. Plus, it looks sweet ;)

At the moment, I'm a level 43 orc warlock - so yes, I realize it's still a ways away before I get the quest. But I had a discussion months ago with my guild wondering, when (actually at this point, if, considering how little I play now) I get this quest, what I should go for. I decided on the staff, considering all of the upgrades for summoning I have, but I'm a tad curious - exactly how does this staff work for a Demonology warlock? (At present I'm 0/30/4.) Would this be my best bet?

The hit chance is nice but it does no fire damage. While I will begin farming mats for Robes of the Void, I am curius as to is this really better than the robes of servitude and if I were to get it should I go ahead and get Robes of Lich and trade them out with the Bloodrobe? Look, ever since the expansion levels 1-58 are a race to the outland, and anything you get in the old world will be obsoleted pretty quickly once you get into Outlands. So what reward do you take? The Soul Harvester! Sure, it'll get obsoleted quickly, but so will the other rewards, but the Soul Harvester is
a) one of the coolest looking weapons in the game
b) totally Warlock and c) at least for me, my weapon was my last piece of equipment to be replaced.
I still have my Soul Harvester, and always will. Sometimes it just feels good to go melee lowbies to death in Ashenvale.

The arguments have been mixed so far. Some claim the trinket to be absolutely useless, for it has a 30sec CD before you can use it, and a 30 min CD before you can re-use it. Others claim it is a nice trinket, especially as a demonology warlock. What I claim is that the trinket is thé best choice for any warlock thinking about leveling past 60, and especially for destruction warlocks!
I will by large leave the arguments for taking one of the other two rewards aside. I consider these to be fine rewards. There are plenty of alternatives however. Since I prefer to spend a lot of gold on a Staff of Jordan on casting alts the staff is not worth taking (especially since I can use it from level 38 AND make it far better with a +40 spell dmg enchant, which benefits me all the way to 60 at least!). For the vest you could get something like dreamweave vest, although better alternatives may be available.
Why is this trinket so good? It is only a VW that is summoned, not a mana/shard-free demon you can cast. It is only usable after having it equipped for 30 seconds, so it is not possible to get a quick benefit from it by switching it with another trinket. It is also not possible to use it more than once every 30 minutes! Does it have ANY real value that makes it worth taking then?
I argue it does. A VW may not be what you need, but since TBC it has become a far better choice to grind with than it used to be. Before outlands I would use my succubus to tank while I drainTanked the mob(s) to death. In outlands mobs can do a lot of damage, and this is what the VW can handle quite well. The VW can also heal itself for relatively little mana AND it can hold aggro on multiple mobs, which helps a lot for pulling 5-9 mobs at a time with an affliction spec.
BUT a VW can be summoned quite easily and for relatively little mana anyway, what's the benefit of the trinket? The VW can be left behind, while walking away from it, so you receive a free soul shard. This can be used for a SS, HS, a demon summon, or other soul shard consuming abilities.
BUT, walking away costs time .... time one could also spend on getting a soul shard from a mob. True, but this walking away can be done while moving in an instance for example, which reduces the free soul shard to a time pretty much equal in time and effort of casting the summon. This pretty much makes the trinket a "free soul shard every 30 minutes"-reward. Which is quite nice no matter what spec.
BUT, hmm .. alright, that's one advantage .. but a small one! Why not get one from a mob in the first place? In instances this is not always easily done. You cannot pull an elite in outlands instances to get a soul shard while the rest is waiting after a wipe or after just entering an instance.
BUT, why not bring in a lot of soul shards in the first place? Because having 40 soul shards before starting an instance is not easily done, 40 shards costs a lot of time to farm. And you may not have sufficient bag space. Farming in an instance if certainly possible while your group kills them, but when you have Shadowburn this costs about a 1k hit skill you do not use for every soul shard you get, plus it takes additional time you do not cast ... lowering your dps. Furthermore, in some more challenging instance (especially heroics or raids) you may need to turn all attention to killing, instead of wasting 3 seconds on soul draining a mob, while others get hammered upon by elite mobs.
BUT, this is only useful in outlands instance? Not at all. You can easily farm soul shards in Outlands. But this takes time. Someone said ANY warlock should be able to get a shard in 15 seconds. True. But not ANY warlock can get 10 shards in 150 seconds! It is not about a single shard, but about a bag full of them at the least. Especially destruction locks lose a lot of mana fast, and some of their most powerful spells require .... shards! Farming shards as a destro lock is VERY tedious! Playing wow casually you are VERY likely to find yourself having some INACTIVE time ... time you walk around in a city for instance, standing at the AH, running/flying to an inn, etc, etc. These are the moments you notice the extra pair of shards you get. Getting 5-10 shards extra between farming sessions (for about 20 shards) is worth the trinket imo.
BUT, is this all ...
is there some reason why we MUST TAKE IT?
Yes, but it may not apply to everyone. And I would say there are
TWO REASONS
:
First
: Try to move outside outlands. Spend time in some major non-outlands cities ... where are you going to get your shards from? This trinket is the
only
reasonably plausible way! Why you would need shards? Think about giving a boost to a friend ... running a lower instance for fun (even lower outlands ones!) ... summoning a friend ... or just passing time chatting. In the last case you can get a few shards by doing nothing, so no need to farm later on. Wait till you are level 70, and you will be amazed by the number of times you find yourself
WISHING
you had taken this trinket. At least that's what I felt quite frequently, being low on shards .. boosting a friend. I would use only slightly more than a shard per 30 minutes (including SS'ing my friend .. so he could ress after an occasional death).
Second
: It is the
ONLY
reward that is useful after you get to outlands. The main use of this is not when you get it, but when you get a higher level. For me this was an easy choice as my chest and staff were better. But after getting to Outlands (with far better gear), only this trinket was useful AT ALL.
To make it "short" .. here is the
CONCLUSION
:
All in all, this seems to me to be most useful for destruction-talent using warlocks (not necessarily full destro locks!). As these locks use a lot of shards AND have most difficulty getting new ones.
The other rewards have good alternatives which can be obtained far earlier in the game, making a switch to these other ones not really worthwhile.
The trinket is an amazing rewards considering its use at level 70. What (easy) quest did you do pre-outlands that gave a reward that is still useful?
If you run low instances at times, for boosting a friend or just for fun, this is a amazingly useful trinket. You cannot get shards within the instance. And you will find the free shard per 30 minutes a good way to maintain your amount of shards, even when you start with only a few.

This has got to be one of the coolest looking items in the game. I love the look of it, its a scythe like the grym reaper has I would use it if the stats sucked but its a good staff. I got so many tells just standing in IF asking where to get it and how cool it looks. I always wanted to have a scythe in this game, thanks blizz for adding it in.

I think a shadow priest would look great with this! Too bad it's Warlock only :(

That is probably the coolest looking staff ever

As of the 1/09/07 patch, the Soul Harvester makes a 'slashing' sound instead of the wooden pong sound. Hurray. ^^

Chans to hit with spells? What does that mean? 1% lower chanse of resist? Or 1% crit chanse?
I R CONFUSED! D:

You must play with a bunch of noobs. It's surprising to hear a former Warlock see Warlocks as free HK. Maybe you gave up because you can't play your class right? I see you play a Warrior, Hunter, Mage, Rogue, Druid... All Warlock food. I've got a 51 Warlock on Gorefiend, and I get jumped by 60's all the time, who must be as stupid as you are. They get theirs. Warlocks are only free HK if you're in a party and find one by themselves. That goes for any class, though. When I hit 50, I stopped worrying about non-epic'd 60's altogether.
This staff is pretty kickass, since Stamina is the only stat I care about. It looks killer, and gives a bonus to Shadow damgage. Best Quest-drop weapon for 'Locks I've seen yet.

This staff is great. Looks good, good stats, and warlocks ARE NOT a free HK.

i'm figuring that this will be the final weapon for my warlock. i don't do any high-end raiding, so i'm probably not going to get any weapons from MC, BWL, ZG, or AQ. i'm an affliction/demonology warlock, so the rod of the ogre magi wouldn't help me too much. the only other weapons that i know of that would replace this are the grand marshal's stave (which i probably won't get) and the ironbark staff (from arathi basin faction). the ironbark staff doesn't have a bonus to spell hits, but it is better in every other way. now i just need to get to exalted...

too bad they didn't bother to make something like this when i actualy played my warlock, but, too little too late, im not going back. yes do thank bliz for adding it, but curse them again for making it warlock only, and not having deathknight in the first place.
i only wish this wasn't warlock only. i'd get this just for my warrior to carry around and look evil. whats sad is that making this weapon caster only means its never gunna get swung at anything above gray cons, a sad fact for something this kewl. if other class's could use it, you'd see it swung at something, since other class's can melee.
but the "Warlock only" just means its another "this player is a warlock, hk for you" sign, like the dreadsteed itself.(when you see dreadsteed, you know your about to get an hk) custom mounts is worst idea ever on pvp.
other then that, its not really great, easily replaced in molten core by a huge number of purples. even that staff of the ogre king is almost as good as this.

The only reason I got this staff at level 60 is because of 1 thing... Pimp @$$ riding gear. Throw a demonslaying enchant on it, and it matches the felsteed just about perfectly. It's all about being able to strike fear into the hearts of alliance seeing an undead on a flaming stead, strapped with a sythe that is equally ablaze. Quickmountequip, and you too can look dope with very little effort,
as seen here

This is sweet and i really don't care that its caster only maybe blizz should make a polearm that looks liek a scyth so that the melee class can use it but this is amazing ucz of the passives and the look

Im having trouble keeping a character because after one point or another they bore me and about the only class i can be is one not in the game and that is the deathknight

no pick, but i saw this running through orgrimmar tonight. very very sweet looking scythe w/ a decent stat bonus and some nice passives. this is nice enough for me to pick up my warlock again (3o current) and give them a try..
maybe they are done ignoring the lock class?
maybe.

I wish there was a non-warlock item with this skin, I'd use it no matter what, just because it looks so good.

Its funny how when they do melee it sounds like a regular staff hit it. Bliz should change it to a slashing soulnd like a sword.

While I do love the way this staff looks, and I do love that very much (besides which, the various bonuses to spell damage and Stamina are incredible) I do not intend to use it as it is. I'm planning on having Enchanting fairly high by the time I'm eligible to pick this up, and even if I don't, I'm going to pay someone to put a +22 Intellect enchant on it- thus making it one of the best Warlock staves around. Is this a sound plan?

Agreed, it may not milk all the potential out of a staff for a 60 warlock, but sometimes we have to afford ourselves an item or two that makes us happy cause it looks cool or whatever. Any locks out there who say we are silly for using this at 60 are just jealous cause they chose that silly trink. Stick +30 spell damage on this thing and it outperforms any non epic lvl 60 staff.

I do believe that this would look better on an undead or possibly a human...... but who cares, it's a scythe! Does anyone have a pic of an undead with it?

I've been wondering which staff is actually better: this one or Zum'rah's Vexing Cane (
祖穆拉恩的能量法杖
What do you think? I think I'd rather have 10 intellect than stamina, as I always life-tab in a battle at least once.
+1% hit is not really that good IMO.
And +24 damage to shadow spells vs +21 to ALL spells.... hm.....
I'll probably get it anyway, at least for looks.

This staff is just alright. It is goos becuase it gives stamina and helps with ur shadow spell damage but no int. or spirit. I have it on my 52 warlock in Eitrig but i also have the Soul keeper for when im doin an instance. It is very cool with a demonslaying enchant and is a good choice from the quest but u should probly make sure u also have a backup staff.
